Micron Technology (MU) was in the spotlight on May 26 as a UBS-driven rally in its shares drove its market cap into the coveted trillion-dollar club.<\/p>\n

The unprecedented demand for Micron\u2019s memory chips as hyperscalers continue to build artificial intelligence (AI) infrastructure has already seen MU gain a remarkable 185% this year.<\/p>\n

Yet, UBS analysts led by Timothy Arcuri believe Micron stock<\/a> isn\u2019t out of juice just yet.<\/p>\n

Reiterating a \u201cbuy\u201d rating, Arcuri more than tripled his price objective on the Boise-headquartered firm this morning to $1,625, indicating potential upside of another 80% from here.<\/p>\n

Here\u2019s why UBS is bullish on Micron stock<\/h2>\n

According to the UBS analyst, Micron is undergoing a structural transformation that alters how it earns, prices, and secures its revenue base.<\/p>\n

For decades, memory suppliers operated under short\u2011cycle, volume\u2011based offtake agreements that left them brutally exposed to the industry\u2019s historic boom\u2011and\u2011bust swings.<\/p>\n

But Timothy Arcuri argues that the era has now ended. \u00a0<\/p>\n

Those legacy contracts are being replaced by \u201cenhanced\u201d longer\u2011term agreements featuring multi-year durations, strict fixed\u2011volume obligations, and \u2013 most importantly \u2013 a \u201cpartially fixed pricing framework.\u201d<\/p>\n

By locking in both price and volume, Micron is insulating itself from volatility and shifting toward a more predictable earnings profile, he added.<\/p>\n

As investors absorb this structural de\u2011risking, UBS expects MU shares to command a significantly higher multiple over time.<\/p>\n

Options data points to upside in MU shares<\/h2>\n

UBS recommends sticking with Micron shares because the aforementioned LTAs offer \u201cimproved visibility into now-committed customer demand\u201d and higher cross-cycle ROIC.<\/p>\n

According to Timothy Arcuri, continued robust demand for high bandwidth memory (HBM) could see MU\u2019s cumulative free cash flow hit a whopping $400 billion between 2027 and 2029.<\/p>\n

He also expects the firm\u2019s annual earnings per share (EPS) to surpass $100 over the next few years.<\/p>\n

Importantly, the derivatives market seems to agree with UBS on Micron Technology. <\/p>\n

The upper price on options contracts<\/a> expiring August 21st<\/sup> sits at about $1,187 \u2013 indicating the stock could rally as much as 33% over the next three months.<\/p>\n

Note that MU currently pays a small dividend as well.<\/p>\n

How to play Micron at current levels<\/h2>\n

Taken together, UBS\u2019s call frames Micron as one of the \u201cclearest structural winners\u201d of the global AI build\u2011out.<\/p>\n

The shift to long\u2011term, partially fixed\u2011price agreements \u2013 combined with surging HBM demand \u2013 gives the company a level of earnings visibility the memory industry has historically lacked.<\/p>\n

Even from a technical perspective, MU stock is just as attractive. <\/p>\n

As of writing, it sits \u201cdecisively\u201d above its moving averages (MAs), with an RSI in the mid-70s indicating intense buying pressure.<\/p>\n

All in all, for investors, Micron Technology\u2019s transition toward a steadier, contract\u2011driven model suggests its trillion\u2011dollar valuation may just be a waypoint rather than a peak.<\/p>\n
